 Synopsis and Final Script

Synopsis: A socially competent narcissistic male transcends into darkness and gives into his wretches desires.

Here's the complete script of the movie:

 

Scene 1

 

*movie starts with a walking shot of a man's back* *man is dressed in rich inviting colors*

*Security guard dressed in rich colors opens the room*

*enters room*

*Everybody warmly welcomes him*

*try to replicate wolf of wall street shot (school version)*

*Make small talk with 2 men*

 

(all of this takes place in under 35 seconds) (have to establish an energetic atmosphere) (portraying man as the center of attention.)

 

*reaches his sitting desk*. Sits down.

takes out book *Diary of a King name is visible on front page* *turns to second page of the book on which it is written "They all love me,they all revolve around me,

Ever since i was a child i made it my objective to learn the skills of socializing, And i can say i have truly achieved that goal, But as they say, "The true character

is the masked one”

*wes anderson looming over book symmetrical shot*

 

*lens changes to straight on symmetrical shot to man*

straight killer gaze. lens zooms on man's face and eyes.

 

Man in narrator voice speaks

The words which are written on the second page of the book, The words of the man are followed by a flashback of the man as a child socializing with kids.

(The expressions on man's face match with the words being spoken. E.g lopsided grin when the word "revolve" is being spoken).

"Smile"

But, (2 second suspense pause), as they say "the true character is the masked one".

The whole above shot is in high lighting, deep colors and inviting tone

*Dip to black* *Slow amplitude lightning noise behind*

 

Scene 2

 

*Scene starts in an area of Low-Key lighting*

*Downward Tilt shot of an old man who has a beard, rough face and deep eyes in poor clothing, The man is sitting on a floor in an area where homeless people and 

drug addicts hang around *

* In the next shot, We have a medium close up shot of our main character walking into an alley with low-key lighting.

 

* When the main character arrives at the destination, He sees an old man and bows to him. Then the main character says "Master, I brought you food", Then 

we have a closeup shot of the old man eating the food.

* Dip to black

* In the next shot we have a conversation between the main character and the old man, Firstly the old man says "Tomorrow, my son is an important day for you, You have to prove your loyalty tomorrow". Then the main character says "Master, you have always been there for me, After my parents died you were my only support, And I am willing to do anything, Anything for you". (This shot also shows us a flashback in which we can see the old man was there with the main character since the main character was a kid). Then the old man says "Look at what this government did to me, I was a high-ranking official, Look at me now, Son, I want you to avenge me".Then the main character says "Master, your wish is my command.

* Dip to black

Scene 2.b

* We show a medium shot of the main character talking to the senator on the phone in low key lighting, Firstly the main character says "Hello Mr. Senator", Then the senator says "Hi, my dear friend How are you?", Then the main character says I'm fine,So,let's meet tomorrow, Then the senator says "Where?", Then the main character says You know, at our old place.

* Dip to black

Scene 3

*we show a wide shot of the main character waiting for the senator.

*Driving scene*

 

*Cinematic Driving shots* Lasts 10 seconds

*music behind is to be rock and roll, to create visual inertia when it stops for a second*

*Car stops, Senator steps out of car, dressed in 3 piece suit,  with a smile on his face, and open hands confident body gesture(signifying comfort).

“ My friend, how are you?” *is walking towards main character

 

*Main character says nothing, puts his hand behind his back, as if pulling out gun*

*Main character now pulls out his gun, points it at senator*

Cross cut to senator

Close-up of senator’s surprised face

Reverse shot to main character

main character shoots Senator in the face

*gun firing sound, and a thud noise*.

*Dip to black

 

*Richie tenenbaum blood pouring out scene*.

*evil subtle grin from main character. Walks toward the senator. This walk, is important for the whole movie, as the music has stopped, and only the sound of the walk is heard* As he reaches the senator, we see him sitting and cupping his hand and drinking his blood. *This shot is taken at eye level of main character.*.

*Licks his lips. We see his teeth red with blood. We see him enjoying the blood, rubbing it on his face*

*He looks up to the sky, *SCREAMS with glee

*MUSIC CONTINUES*

 

He gets up, starts running. A followed stabilized shot of running (preferably through woods, wildly, madly, crazily. Loose body movements. Running. He is removing his shirt whilst running, diegetic sounds,

*Rock and roll music played

*Narrator speaks “As they say, No one can long hide behind a mask ; the pretense soon lapses into the true character, What happens afterwards, the whole society bears witness to that." ( The narrators words are followed by a tilt right shot of a book on which it is written "They hurt my master i will kill each one of them") 

* Dip to black* Superimpose appears on screen on which it is written "Diary of a killer"
